Wedding Vineyard

The Wedding Vineyard graces the south facing slope of the mountain in front of the winery, and runs the entire length of our secluded estate. Commemorating our wedding in 1975, the vineyard is not only an integral part of the winery, but of our family's life here on the mountain.

Following the 2001 vintage the vineyard was ripped out, save 2 acres kept to give continuity and bud wood. In the spring of 2002, David Abreu began re-development of the vineyard. Using low vigor rootstock to encourage the vines to produce smaller, highly concentrated fruit, by changing row direction, and finally using Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 337 and other new Cabernet Franc & Petit Verdot clones, David has produced a vineyard of exceptional precision and beauty, truly a work of art by a master. We now patiently wait for 2005, when the new fruit will appear. Needless to say, we have great expectations.

In the meantime, we have a limited amount of 2000 and 2001 to sip when the special occasion calls for only the best.
