Whitney's Vineyard
Nestled on the south-facing side of our Mayacamas Mountain estate, and planted in shallow, rocky soil, this vineyard is our crown jewel. The vineyard was christened in 1976 for our firstborn daughter, Whitney. With each vintage, the vines provide less than one ton per acre of tiny, intense Chardonnay grapes, and while the quantity has not increased over the years, the structure of the fruit consistently has all the components needed to make a world-class wine.
Whitney's Vineyard fruit displays a delicious mélange of pears, apples, nutmeg, honey and vanilla, which together meld into a silky, creamy, rich harmony of flavors, with a long, memorable finish, drawing you back for another sip.
