NAPA VALLEY
Coach Insignia, Cabernet Sauvignon
Fisher Vineyards' Coach Insignia Cabernet Sauvignon represents a pinnacle of our winemaker's craft. A blend of three Bordeaux varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, all grown on our Estate vineyard in the Napa Valley. The blend is enhanced with additional Merlot from a small vineyard on Sonoma Mountain, and with Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the hills above Oakville. Grapes for this wine are whole-berry fermented in small open top tanks, with a large surface-to-juice ratio. The fermented juice macerates for 6 -8 weeks, is gently pressed, and taken to barrels in the cave by gravity flow where they rest and evolve in French Oak over 20-24 months. The result is a wine that consistently pleases discriminating fans each vintage.
