Whitney's Vineyard Chardonnay
The Whitney's Vineyard is located on a south-facing slope of our Mayacamas Mountain estate 1,200 feet above sea level. The vineyard was planted in 1973 in shallow gravelly mountain soil to the "Wente" clone. The vineyard was named after the Fisher's firstborn, Whitney.
Tasting Notes
The 2002 Whitney¹s Vineyard Chardonnay displays elegant fruit intensity. Aromas of freshly sliced peaches, nutmeg and jasmine followed by flavors of bright lemon, marmalade with a hint of caramel and vanilla on the finish. This chardonnay continues to display its complexity in the glass, inviting another sip to discover the intricacies of its evolution.
