SONOMA COUNTY
Wedding Vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon
The Wedding Vineyard graces a rocky south-facing slope of the hill in front of our winery. Planted in 1973 to commemorate Fred and Juelle Fisher's marriage, the vineyard is not only a prominent part of our secluded Mountain Estate, but also an integral part of our family's life. In the beginning the rugged terroir gave us a constant challenge with rootstock, vine and vintner fully stressed. However, over the years we have learned to work with the site and vines, which yield a meager production of 1 ton per acre of tiny, concentrated berries that create an intense, distinctive, mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (read more about the vineyard).
Tasting Notes
Alluring aromas of black cherry, blueberry, and dark chocolate mingle with spiced earth. An expansive juicy mid-palate with beautiful ripe mountain tannins and classic black fruit flavors this wine has a finish that lasts forever. Impeccably balanced and ready to age this is the Wedding Vineyard at its best!
