First planted in 1973, Wedding Vineyard graces a south facing slope in front of our original Mountain Estate winery, running the length of our secluded estate. Nine acres were replanted in 2002 under the careful guidance of David Abreu: seven blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon (clone 337 and See clone, among others), one block of Petit Verdot (clone 400) and one block of Cabernet Franc (clone 327). The final remaining block was replanted in 2010 (Wiemer clone).

The 2022 vintage distinguished itself with below average yields and warmth that allowed for early maturation even on our Mountain Estate where we harvested Wedding Vineyard Cabernet the first week of October. The wine shows effusive notes of blackberry, dark plum and cassis that mingle with wet clay, cedar and petrichor minerality. The palate features flavors of black currant, allspice and toasted oak with flavors of spruce tip and hints of Herbs de Provence - all lingering with full mountain tannin giving this wine remarkable length and persistence on the palate.
