Planted in 1999, our Mountain Estate Vineyard, Chardonnay, is rooted in steep, rocky soils at 1,300 feet elevation, and planted with the 45 degree fall line on our only northeast-facing slope. Owing to this particular aspect, these vines receive cooler morning light and minimal exposure to any hot afternoon sun, which has proven ideal for the gradual ripening and maximum maturation of Chardonnay grapes.

Radiant in the glass, the 2024 Mountain Estate Vineyard, Chardonnay displays a luminous lemongrass hue. The nose is expressive and high-toned, opening with fragrant notes of jasmine, honeydew melon, white blossoms, and delicate tea leaf. On the palate, a seamless, balanced transition reveals layers of stone fruit and fresh lemongrass, underscored by nuances of hints of lightly toasted almond and a touch of vanilla. The wine carries both brightness and depth, with a harmonious play between freshness and subtle richness.
